Our Big Local vision is to make Catton Grove ‘an even better place to live, work and volunteer’.
Our Big Local Community Plan 2017 – 2020 sets out how we will achieve this and how the projects we are developing will benefit the community.
All of the projects in our Community Plan have been developed following extensive consultation with local residents.
Our Big Local Community Plan is divided into 5 priority areas, our Big Local priorities are –
Building an Inclusive and Vibrant Community – where we will create opportunities for everyone to become more involved within their local community.
Activities for Children and Young People – where we will provide opportunities for children and young people to try new activities, socialise, build confidence and self-esteem. YMCA Norfolk will be delivering this work on our behalf.
Supporting Community Facilities – in which we will make improvements to local amenities such as Catton Grove Community Centre and Waterloo Park.
Supporting Community Health and Well-Being – where we will be offering local residents the opportunity to participate in a range of affordable activities to improve health, reduce isolation and support community well-being.
Access to Advice, Employment and Training – We have transformed the old Police Station on Woodcock Road into a community resource centre called The Box. Working in partnership with Future Projects we will continue to offer local residents the opportunity to access a range of advice services, training opportunities and support to gain employment.
